1. place with very good - Int. FTCH Blackthorn Achenar handled by Csaba Karai.
Adu won this amazing trial out of 16 dogs. All day he was working excellent, but unfortunately we did not find the last bird which was really hard and technical. This is the worst situation on trials which could happen. Hard luck.
The stud dog for Libby (Litter O) has been decided, he will be FTCH Adoraden Quinn.
Very promising young dog from England, running on the IGL Championship this year until the 3rd day. His sister, Adoraden Izzy also made excellent performance and got a COM.

I warmly propose everyone to read through them all!

Asca just jumped out from the puppies to run on this test - she is always amazing. Funny, she defended her last year's 2nd place in a run-off with Libby ;-)
Hiram finished his first Open very nicely taking that he has just passed his 2nd birthday ...
Poor Drake got a bad diarrhea the days before the MC so we were thinking until the last minute to start him but on the day he was happy so we let him playing - of course he could not give 100 % this time.

Superhard test with good judges, wonderful area - high adrenalin level!
Pike and Ivor did well in the puppy, and despite that he is only 13 months old, Pike had also wonderful result in L - from 38 dogs only 20 stayed in and he finished 8th place.
Hiram won with ease both L and M.
In the S 11 dogs stayed in from 25. Drake showed an outstanding performance again, points were 20-20-20 and on the "killing" test 11. He was just perfect!

Blackthorn Ilmarinen "Bosco" arrived to his new home to Sandra and John Halstead, Drakeshead kennels
Bosco has grown up and got basic training in the Blackthorn kennels and then, after his blood test waiting period expired, he travelled through Europe to the Drakeshead kennels to follow in track of his mother GB FTCH Blackthorn Ascella, and his father GB FTCH Drakeshead Indiana.
No doubt he could be in any better hands than those of Sandra and John to get out the best of his natural abilities!
First - and successful! - blood tracking of Blessy!
Blackthorn Gecko "Bless" went to Germany in January to live the real life of labradors - being the assistant to Mr. Edgar Wagner, best know blood-tracking specialist in Germany.
Bless' ancestor was Falcon of Carinthia, a "bloodhound by honour" with about 100 successful tracking on wounded wild boars and deers. So he has a name to follow!
